It is beside the Arakawa river which separates it from Tokyo. The Sasame river also flows through the city before joining the Arakawa. ==Demographics== As of October 1, 2010, the city has an estimated population of 124,085 and a population density of 6,829.11 persons per km². The total area is 18.17 km².
